A Different Childhood

Something a bit different and more emotional than my regular work. I decided to do a detailed, surreal sketch like I use to do back in the day.

It's slightly reminiscent of my days on the playground when I was a little kid. Though, that kid isn't exactly me (I was actually small and chubby instead of tall and skinny when I was young), we could just as well say he's an alter ego of my younger self. When I was in elementary school, I didn't have much friends and didn't play with other kids that much. Sure, other kids did like me, only because of my so called "talent" at drawing. Back then I was still a bit dark and morbid like I am today. I couldn't really make much friends because of that, They were interested in other things. I, for one, enjoyed zombies and cemeteries and Halloween, the other kids just wanted to play football and junk like that. So, when recess came along, sometimes the other kids were nice enough to play with me, other times I sat in the shade by a lone tree.

My mom said commented this by saying that the kid is, "contemplating on his skull", I just thought that was funny ^_^.
